My Military Toy Store is busy at work on a new line of paper decorated airplane toys we call "SimStix". Conceived in their original form by a student naval aviator in Meridian, MS, the SimStix prototypes have received praise from student as well as seasoned tactical aviators looking for an inexpensive yet durable means of practicing their model work and briefs at home. Without the dowels that make them effective flight visualization tools, however, these little aircraft are irresistible to children looking for a vehicle for their imaginations! These aircraft have proven rugged and durable in little hands. They've been thrown against walls and bounced off floors, and they have survived with no significant damage to the airplanes, to the walls or floors, or (most importantly) to the budding aviators propelling them! We're excited about this product line, and hope they find an eager audience among the many military and aviation enthusiasts looking for fun and safe, yet accurately detailed toys.
Although our kits will be available soon, we'd like to offer (for a limited time) a FREE download of the paper decorations of our first offering, a T-45C decorated in the colors of VT-7, the Navy advanced jet training squadron stationed in Meridian, MS. You'll have to provide the wood, glue, and paint needed to complete the model, all of which can be found at a well stocked hobby or craft store. Instructions are included on the downloadable decorations sheet. We hope to generate some interest and excitement in our upcoming releases, and spread the merits of wooden, paper decorated toys! Get yours while you can!
