The Bristol Beaufighter didn't begin life as a fighter at all. It came to life from the Bristol Beaufort, a torpedo bomber design. It was a quite capable fighter and ground/sea attack platform, however, and was often called "the ten gun terror". Serving in nearly every theater, the Beaufighter earned distinction as one of the first dedicated night fighters. This Beaufighter wears the colors of one such British night fighter. Equipped with the AI Mark VIII radar, the Beaufighter could find and destroy its prey in the ink black skies over war torn Europe.
